Narus Inc is a company who seems to have as their business model breaking the Internet. Or at least making sure that the large carriers can extract every last dime that is possible. If that happens to break the idea of the Internet, so be it. Hence, they are on the list with Microsoft and its kin. From this article at arstechnica:
Could it happen in the US? Yes and no. The US already has laws on the books that would make it illegal for a carrier to block traffic from a competitor, but don't worry, Narus' president of marketing Jay Thomas has it all figured out. Prepare to be incensed.
Atari has a forum where you can voice your support for NWN2 on Linux. Supposedly, it might do some good to post there if you want to see it. You can find it here. On a related note, if you are going to refuse to buy/play NWN2 if it does not have Linux support, post a comment here. And tell anyone you think would be interested in this to do so. For the record, I will not be buying NWN2 if there is no Linux support. And no, a dedicated server does not count as Linux support. No client, no sale.
I learned something interesting today. I was going through my awstats listings, and found that I have a number of people from different countries reading, or at least visiting this page. This makes me wonder who actually reads this. Does anyone, aside from the people I know in person, actually check this page for updates? I tend to doubt it, large world and all. Though, it would be nice to know. So, if you actually read this page, drop a comment. I'd love to hear from you.
